Pallamallawa Fishing Club Memorial Park provides an excellent free camping spot alongside the Gwydir River. The well-maintained park features expansive flat, grassy areas perfect for RVs and camping, with clean flushing toilets and potable town water available. Amenities include picnic shelters with electric BBQs, a camp kitchen equipped with kettle and toaster, and even power outlets. The location offers easy river access for fishing enthusiasts, though only suitable for able-bodied visitors. Just a five-minute walk leads to the highly-rated local pub known for great food and service. While bindis can be present in the grass and ants may be numerous at times, the peaceful riverside setting, good internet and TV reception, and proximity to town conveniences make this a popular overnight or extended stay destination.

You should first check with Moree Plains council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
